Because it's Christmas (or no longer Halloween which basically feels like Christmas) I decided to let myself binge watch some lovely and heartwarming Christmas movies this week. I watched the movie "12 Dates of Christmas" which is one of my favorites. It stars Amy Smart and Mark-Paul Gosselaar. In the movie, the main woman goes out on a date with a guy and ends up being a complete jerk to him, leaving the date early to meet up with her ex (who she's still in love with) and thus breaking the mans heart and ruining Christmas. When she wakes up that next morning, its the previous day again. She in total relives this day 12 times to finally make it perfect and find the true meaning of Christmas. In the meantime she begins to make some new friends and her heart begins to soften and she becomes nicer to her neighbors and family members. This is one of my favorite movies not because it's cheesy and stereotypical but because I believe it truly captures what the true meaning of "christmas spirit" is. I wholeheartly believe there is a magic to the Christmas season and instead of constantly focusing on what's the next biggest and best thing to get for Christmas, I hope this movie motivates some people to disconnect and focus more of their attention on their family, friends, and loved ones.

considering i am actually planning to go back to my country during this christmas holiday, i am pretty lucky to be able to go back and stay with my family and friends. i was in minnesota two years ago, and there was lots of storms and snow which had made me cancelled the go back plan to stay in the US. i am glad to have moved here. it is nice to stay with the ones we love at important dates.
