As of How To Get Away With Murder wrapped for season 3, ABC hit show on Thursday night finally revealed who was under the sheet. When the news breaks about the character that was under the sheets spread the cast and team of HTGAWM seemed to be upset.
It is safe to say that the actor/actress did not have any bad feelings towards the death of their character; however, the cast did not have the same general feelings or reactions. Moving forward it seems season 4 will be based on finding out who killed…
Did you find out who was under the sheets?

The television show, How to Get Away with Murder, premiered on ABC in September of 2014 with tones of brilliant creators and actors. It had a big success that ABC did not usually announce official renewals until May, the second season renewal for 2015 and 2016 was announced almost immediately after the finale of the first season, as well as being confirmed by the show’s main star, Viola Davis.
It incorporates unpredictable relations mixed with crime. How to Get Away with Murder is a legal or law drama from the viewpoint of a criminal defense lawyer and law professor, Annalise Keating, her assistants, and a group of her students. The twists, the murders, the complexity of lawyers and law, and the law students faced with dilemmas regarding their personal lives and future professions, make up an interesting story line – completely different from other crime dramas.

I really enjoy this show and watch it often when I am home with my mom :) I think that it's nice that they use people of many different races in the show to add more dimensions. Did you know what How To Get Away with Murder was actually filmed at USC last week?

I also enjoy the show particularly because of the diverse representation of characters. The characters do not seem to be completely defined by their race, gender, or sexual orientation. However, there are still some problematic stereotypes. The gay character is seen as hyper sexual, despite having a monogamous relationship which plays into respectability politics. While many critics have praised the sex scenes are barrier-breaking, it still promotes the negative stereotype of hypersexuality. The writers do a better job of addressing race and gender. For the characters, race does not define their identities but it is also not ignored. The women have strong views are seen as equally competent law students and even formidable lawyers. However, the emerging trope of the evil upper-middle class white man is repeated in the main character's cheating husband and the entitled, obnoxious, socially unaware frat boy. This trope has been used to introduce a villain that does not touch on sensitive issues such as the "bitchy conniving woman" or the "immoral, violent black man" etc. However a social backlash has risen in response to the perceived persecution of white men by a culture that has elevated the sensibilities of marginalized groups over their own. More people are speaking out since the election on why they voted for Trump and many white men have confessed to fighting back against political correctness, censorship, and the demonization of the white man. This show has built on a familiar premise that has grown in popularity and instead of illustrating how systems of power and oppression are created and maintained, it defaults to the white male villain. What we are left with is an uneducated viewership fostering a feeling of unwarranted persecution and reacting by voting for a man who represents their interests.
