I have a question, would you rather eat sugar or
would you rather eat high fructose corn syrup. Do you realize that high
fructose corn syrup is making us fat? High fructose corn syrup isn’t the same thing as sugar, but people in the food industry want us to believe that. Scientist have done studies and came to a conclusion that high fructose is worse than sugar. Today I would like to persuade you to slow down on eating and drinking high fructose corn syrup. High fructose corn syrup has many bad side affects such as the increase of LDL’s, accelerated aging, and gaining weight.
According to High fructose corn syrup is “cornstarch
originated from a very long chemical chain of pure glucose, which must first be broken down into shorter chains. This is accomplished by adding an
enzyme, which is derived from bacteria”. High fructose corn syrup is far from being natural as regular sugar it takes high heat and 3 different enzymes and 5 different processes to create it, but most people would say that it is easier to produce and makes the food industry more money. High fructose corn syrup lowers the good cholesterol and raises the bad one called LDL which is low-density lipoprotein which can also cause heart disease. You would never expect high fructose to take a toll on aging but does, it accelerates it. According to the nutrition reporter Jack Challem, “It makes blood cells more prone to clotting, and it accelerates the aging process. Fructose in humans results to the increase in blood lactic acid, especially in people with preexisting conditions such as diabetes. Extreme elevations cause metabolic acidosis and can result in death. We are told that we gain weight by eating too much sugar but according to mother’s nature, Princeton University study finds that rats get fatter on high-fructose corn syrup than on sugar, even when caloric intake is the same. High fructose corn syrup is a sweetener that contains allot of bad side effects that regular sugar doesn’t

In this presentation we became more aware of high fructose corn syrup
and what it is and the affects of it. High fructose corn syrup might be easier to produce but is not healthy compared to regular sugar I hope I have provided you with enough information that would persuade you to slow down on high fructose corn syrup and when you buy something you would read the nutrition label. Instead of getting that Coke get a Snapple.

Corn is cheaper to manufacture and process, like soy. Both of these are the new cash crops. All food is made of soy or corn these days. They're magic plants and can easily be engineered. SUGAR TASTES WAY BETTER. I don't think it's so much about the taste, or the health that's a problem... but it's just scary how corporations run the world, even what we put into our mouth.
