“We can never judge the lives of others, because each person knows only their own pain and renunciation. It's one thing to feel that you are on the right path, but it's another to think that yours is the only path." - Paulo Coelho. This is a very powerful quote that got me thinking this week. I have noticed lately how much we judge each other via social media. It is understandable for us to have our own opinions although putting people down should not be the result. Most of our social media accounts are negative and filled with hateful and mean comments.

This quote is a great reminder for all of us that there is no right path in life. Just because someone choses to follow a different path, it doesn’t mean it is the wrong path. It is important for us to be reminded of this between everyday so that we do not get discouraged. Social media allows us to be hateful and write rude comments while we hide behind our iPhones and computers. This quote is a reminder for me to stay positive and focus on my own path.

We constantly compete with each other, especially now that social media has become such a significant part of our lives. We follow our friends and celebrities and think that we should also be able to live this lifestyle. In my opinion, people are so obsessed on how they can “seem” like they are equals and living this luxurious lifestyle or just hating and judging others. We forget that it’s important for us to be happy and be our own person. We spend so much time worrying about what other people are doing and what others think of us that we forget to focus on ourselves. I felt that this quote was worth sharing because it is a reminder for us to stay humble and positive.
