London is set to open a new pop-up restaurant were we can bare it all for a select few to see. There will be no electricity, no gas, no utensils made of metal and plastic, and in many cases, no clothes. The owner and brains behind the venture, Seb Lyall, said the concept rooted in the Bunyadi is freedom. smart phones, watches and any other distractions are secured in a locker before the dining experience commences and staff serving up the wood-flame grilled dishes from an outside kitchen on handmade clay crockery, will also be in the nude. The concept is already wildly popular. The waiting list currently stands at roughly about 16,000.

Like a smoking and non-smoking section, the restaurant will have a naked and non-naked section, and a changing room for those who want to strip down while they chow down. The designers said that they are banking on the restaurant to create a state of peace with the use of natural bamboo partitions and candlelight has enabled us to make the restaurant discreet, whilst adhering to the ethos behind it. The idea is to experience true liberation. The Bunyadi will extend its naked theme to the menu, with vegan and non-vegan dishes made with all-natural ingredients and cooking methods, and served on handmade clay plates with edible cutlery, according to a press release from the event creators. Reservation will cost in the region of £55-65 which is about 63-74 dollars per person, and include food and drink on a tasting menu.

Personally I think it's an old leisure with an innovative twist. I can see both sides of why eating nude is a trouble and why it isn't a problem in society. Hopefully this restaurant does well with its business venture this summer. The Bunyadi, is opening in June for three months .

Such a creative, out of the normal idea and crazy at the same time! I have to go in between with such restaurant because I can't imagine being inside one! The part of locking up distractions sounds terrific but naked??? I don't know. If people are down for that then go for it I should say. The idea of true liberation connects and maybe it will be great restaurant. The only people I could imagine here are hippies. Not trying to offend anybody but I do not know what else to say. Just want to see the response to such restaurant and see if society are eating naked.

I also saw an article about that restaurant in LA Times. I found the idea innovative, but I think that people are still influenced by old cultural models and stereotypes, therefore I believe that the restaurant will run out of business very quickly. For a world wide advertising, list of 16,000 does not seem to me like a big number, but I think that their business will gather popularity among tourists, and they will make profit out of people that are looking for something new, or some “adventure” while they are on vacation.

Well, this was a interesting topic!

While I was reading it I had mixed feelings. A part of me thought it was kind of cool, because it was a very different idea compered to the restaurant I've been to, LOL. And the other part of me was thinking about the hygiene. If it's a restaurant and people are going to be fully nude, I can only be right if I say that the restaurant contains a lot of chairs for the people to sit at? And if so, which it most likely is, wouldn't there be a big possibility for the people, sitting nude, at those chairs, receiving STDs???

I do find this to be a very interesting topic... However, I personally find it strange. I understand what type of audience the owner is attracting, and I most certainly do not fit in the category. For me, the main issue is an individuals health. I don't find a part of this restaurant to be very sanitary. A question that I have is: How are the tables and seats going to be displayed? Are they going to have disposable sheets that go below their bottoms? Aside from that, we shall wait and see what the turn out is going to be.
