Four friends had come to Peter Chang's in Arlington on a Saturday night for dinner. The night had started off badly when they were brought a big bowl of rice. One of the diners made a comment that individual bowls were how they were served in China. They were then offered individual bowls and declined.
It wasn't until the end of the meal that things became disastrous. When they asked to split their bill four ways they were mocked by their server who said, "That's definitely the way they do it in China." In China only one person pays for the bill.
Then the bill was given where there were comments left calling the customers assholes. In the end the manager had to come and resolve the situation only giving them a $20 gift card and having them leaving unhappily. This kind of service is unacceptable and even if the customers had gotten on the nerves of the server, customer service is about meeting the needs of others no matter what you think inside your head.
