A man who is a firefighter posted a summary of himself on Tinder describing himself as, “Just a boy from a small town who loves offshore fishing, firefighting, and pretty much anything and everything!” Unfortunately for him his picture is not as welcoming as the rest of his profile. He decided to completely disregard his job and take a selfie next to a huge fire inside a burning building, instead of actually you know helping out his fellow firefighters in putting out the fire. Other commenters mentioned that if he felt the need to take a selfie like that, then he shouldn’t have posted it on Tinder, or shown it to anyone for that matter because it got such bad press. I personally feel this adds a whole new level to people being on their phone while at their job. Normally it’s just a slight distraction throughout the day at an office and can make a person get their work done at a slower pace. This however could have put someone’s life in danger and going at a slower pace just isn’t an option.

It's just sad to hear just kinds of news and reports. I also uploaded a post a bit similar to this topic.
These days many people use their phones and surf the web and enjoy themselves. I understand that because I, too, like seeing things on the internet and using it. But I think it is important to know how and when to use it properly.
Like you said, doing such thing during work at an office would just slow his work but while fighting and handling the fire? In a building on fire?? I really don't understand what he was possibly thinking.
He could have let someone die because of his thoughtless action.
He may love what he does but he should be careful and thoughtful at his job since it is something that requires his full effort and focus.
