After reading up alot on the Dakota pipeline This week I think its something everyone should read up on. If you don't know tribes and other people are protesting on the construction of an oil pipeline being built by Energy Transfer Partners to transport oil. This pipeline could potentially harm tribes drinking water and sacred lands as well as burial sites. What makes this matter even worse is that the Law enforcement in North Dakota has been tracking protestors through geotagging on Facebook. So many supporters all over have checked in as the same spot as the protesters to join in with their protest. Law enforcement has not been nice about treating these protestors which is even worse. I think they forgot that these tribes are people and they are just trying to fight for their rights and they should be able to express their right to protest. Also these tribes have lived on this land for many many years and I think they should have right to it considering they were first to live there and tend to the land.
