Today, we live in a such openly world where as we don’t care much about homosexuality, gay marriage even though it was quite a issue a while ago, or discrimination in the society. It’s almost surreal nowadays we are freely talked about these things or make jokes about. But one kind of power that I do not like and never leaves even now is stereotype. I struggle with question that why stereotypes are never gone away which leads the unfairness and judgmental. There are three things that I would like to discuss about.
I think it’s that we are not the same as who we are. I want to talk about this in a bigger spectrum. I don’t understand when one is wearing all black outfit and say about murdering someone or one’s in a bad mood. Stereotype is just stereotype (definition is in the course lecture), not their actual personality. One’s have choice of expressing themselves and one should not judge by how one look like outside. Why is appearance so much an issue and make fun of them like it’s their entertainment for their own benefit when any power was so strict and unpleasant to even bring out the opinions and judgments.
I think that we are all perfectly made to be free to be anybody who we want to be without judgment. We are in the 21st century where it is very open with many acceptance of where we come from. I hope things are more discussed and we are able to live with many greater things to make a better society.

I think that with stereotypes, there are pros and cons. Not all stereotypes are bad but the mass majority of people use stereotypes in a more negative light. Just my opinion, though.

You are right that people should not judge others by how others wear and it is their choice and interest. I think in LA it’s better to be yourself. People in LA have a high acceptance and it can accept a lot of different people. It’s true that outlook doesn’t represent the actual personality. I think we should be confident of what we like and just be yourself. We should make ourselves happy. And remember you are always beautiful when you are acting YOU! :)
