During this week alone, Donald Trump has gotten into more hot water than he has been in a while. A video leaked on the internet of Trump discussing how he treats women. He said many derogatory and offensive things, but claimed it was “locker talk”, even though they weren't in a locker. Many people are saying the things he said are considered to be sexual assault/harassment.

Ever since the video leaked, many people in the Republican party have announced how upsetting and disappointed they are in him. Trump has also lost a significant amount of supporters due to this event. This event has pushed many citizens over the edge to the point where they claim they no longer support him.

After the video came out, many women have come forward claiming Trump had sexually assaulted them. This is when things get a little fuzzy for me. I don't exactly understand why these women came out all of a sudden and claimed that Trump sexually assaulted them. It is somewhat hard to accept their claims as being true, but also hard to not accept they're true due to the things we heard Trump saying.

Hello Michelle! I believe that Trump's language in the leaked video is extremely harmful to women. The things that he said should not at all be excused, especially for someone that is looking to be elected to the highest political position not just in the country, but in the world. His harmful language was definitely sexual assault, and this isn't the first, and won't be the last time he has said something harmful and offensive.
Also, just because someone feels comfortable enough to come out and say that they were sexually assaulted, that doesn't mean that they are doing it for attention, or that it is coincidental. Statistics show that it is very hard for sexual assault victims to go public with their abuse because of the backlash they may receive, and because many women who do report their assault or abuse don't see their assaulter receive any punishment. I know for a fact that if they would have tried to expose Donald Trump when it happened, they would have received absolutely no justice for it. I believe that they probably felt that they saw this as an opportunity to come forward. If you see a major scandal about a sexual assaulter who at some point in the past assaulted you, of course you would feel more compelled and empowered to help expose this person. They probably saw it as some form of hope that he might actually get exposed for what he is. The many things Trump has said about women including his own daughters, and has done to women, should be enough evidence that he is a sexual assaulter.

I agree with chidera.o when she says that the women who come forward during such scandals are not doing it for attention, but for the rare opportunity to see a much more powerful assaulter face punishment for what he did. In normal circumstances, nothing would have come of reporting sexual assault. Even in smaller scale situations (such as a friend of mine whose coworker was assaulted by her boss at a popular massage chain) the perpetrators are rarely punished.

I'm glad that Trump has lost support following this incident. Not because of his political views necessarily, but for the mere fact that people are actually standing behind the victims.

It happened right after the video, because they're all lies, and would never work if that video did not surface. It was an excuse to have 50 women all a one time feel like it was the acceptable time. Look how the Jessica Leeds supports Hillary, it's all a lie.
Now, Trump said some things, true, but he didn't make fake email accounts that show who he really is, and is a puppet for billionaire business owners to push their agendas by paying her off - theintercept.com/2016/10/07/excerpts-of-...achs-finally-leaked/

At this point I feel like Trump can do anything and it won't really affect him. The Republicans showing their distaste just seems like a way for them to distant themselves since it is a smart political decision. I think this is a well timed attack by those who don't want Trump president but I'm not sure if it's enough to get people to note vote for him. I think both candidates are bad. I'm not really sure who to vote for since they both represent things that I dislike. Do I vote for a guy who seem to have a scandal basically everyday or "criminal" who literally got away with a crime because of connections.

I'm with you on that, anything that happens now can't really effect, unless maybe he goes on a drug binge, and slams heroin in the next few weeks. Republican party is a mess, everyone is everywhere, and they don't know what to do, it's an every man for himself situation so they don't lose their position. Democrats are sitting twirling their thumbs, because media is showering themselves with champagne over these "scandals" Trump just isn't backed by conglomerates that are throwing money at him to win, that's basically the real difference in this, therefor in office, he can do whatever he wants without people breathing down his neck to push or veto a bill. Hillary has a lifetime of experience, that said, knows exactly how to run a nation not for the people, by the people, but the filthy rich, and can hide everything from every American. Politics is so corrupt, you need someone that's not a politician that has an independent party.
