I'm more curious as to what everyone think about this issue? Even though he generalize immigrants as criminals it's just seem unrealistic to me. I know that people who are convicted get on a list to be deported BUT I doubt that many people are actually criminals. The way he word it made it seem like all immigrants are criminals which is not necessary the case. I'm conflicted about this because I believe that it make sense to deport criminals but I'm not sure about deporting ALL immigrants.
I'm bias about this issue because I personally grew up in a Latino community. Even though I'm not latino myself I have met the friendliest people here and I can't imagine how terrible it would be for them if their love ones were to be deported. My family also own asian restaurants and we like many other asian restaurant heavily rely on immigrants to work. Without immigrants a lot of business won't be able to sustain themselves. The again maybe those business shouldn't be up in the first place if they can't even afford to legally pay their workers.
A lot of people talk about moving to Canada but I believe they also have strict rules with people migrating to their country. Even though this doesn't affect since I'm a citizen it will affect a lot of people that I know. My family members are just scared for their well being since it feels like minorities are getting targeted. Is this something I should be worried about? I didn't mind about Trump being president before but I keep hearing so my negative things and it's hard to be reasonable and help my parents understand that everything is going to be okay.
