I just finishing reading an expert on Soul on Ice by Eldridge Cleaver. I knew it was going to be interesting because it was talking about his life in jail and what he went through physically and mentally. However, I was against it because of his confession of rape and his reason behind it. yes he had and we as a whole have been inundated with images of whites being more beautiful, more smart, more successful. and just more. So he's full of love hate for the white woman because not long does he want her but he cant have her and because he wants her he doesn't want his black women. So as he himself puts its a "sickness" he's sick. Yes he is sick because now he becomes a rapist as soon as he gets out of prison. he starts off with black women but soon movie up to his main target white women. I go into this reading ready to dislike this man, and yes I understand his anger his frustration but there is no excuse for his action.
