This weekend, I flew into Boston for my brother’s graduation. Once I got off the plane and onto the Tea (Boston’s train system), I noticed something that I usually would never notice if it weren’t so obvious. Now, I wouldn’t consider myself a fashionable person, nor do I follow the latest trends and what not; my old classmate said, “I dress Canadian,” whatever that might mean. I got on the plane thinking “comfy;” basketball shorts, tee shirt, crew socks, Nike skate shoes, and a baseball hat. To say the least, I did not blend it. I stood out like a sore thumb and I still cannot figure out why; I think it was the shorts, but it was not just about the outfit. I looked around and noticed the other people that were on the plane with me and then it hit me; LA people just look snotty. In no circumstance would I say I am a snotty person, but I think there is a huge difference between LA people and Boston people. Please let me know if anyone has noticed the same. Perhaps in different areas, but I think LA people stick out wherever they go.
