I agree that "just because he is Muslim doesn’t mean he is a terrorist." But I don't agree that "Muslims are not terrorists." What I mean is not that all Muslims are terrorists, but that there are certainly some Muslims who are terrorists, just as there have been Christians and Catholics who have been terrorists. If you were in Ireland and the IRA, who were largely Catholic, had been particularly active in your area, it may not be odd to find yourself weary of Catholics who might bomb something near you today. Christians and Catholics also undertook what were essentially terror campaigns during the Medieval Inquisition and Spanish Inquisitions. Again, I'm not saying we should judge all Muslims as terrorists, what I am saying is that currently, in the US and other Western nations, the majority of those engaging in terror do happen to be Muslim and so some weariness is to be expected.
