My favorite Disney Channel show of all time is Lizzie McGuire starring Hilary Duff. It is also also the best TV show Disney has ever had in my opinion. What makes Lizzie McGuire so great is that it's relatable, realistic, funny, sweet, and has good characters, storylines, and messages. Compared to Disney shows now and for the past 5+ years, they just haven't been the same. From parents who act dumb and seem like kids themselves to other characters who try to act funny all the time, but aren't, it makes me miss the 90's and early 00's Disney Channel TV shows and movies.

Each episode in Lizzie McGuire is similar by having a good message at the end, a lesson learned, and a meaningful conversation with a friend or family member. Lizzie and her best friends, Gordo and Miranda, went through problems in school and in their personal lives that everyone can relate to. The characters are down to earth and genuinely funny. It felt more real without a live audience laughing every minute like in the more recent Disney shows. It's like they can't talk about anything serious anymore and just want everything to be funny. I also like how in the show they added sound effects and recurring music themes for certain scenes and characters.

I watched Lizzie McGuire whenever it was on growing up and I still watch it on YouTube from time to time for the nostalgia. Even though it's aimed towards preteens and teenagers, it's just so comforting and entertaining and I never get tired of it. Something else I liked about the show was animated Lizzie, who represented her inner thoughts and feelings. Also, the acting was good, especially Hilary Duff's. It was never forced and seemed to come so naturally. To me, she will always be the queen of Disney and Lizzie McGuire will always be my favorite Disney Channel show.

I couldn't agree with you more! I feel like kids shows today are becoming unrealistic and foolish. I grew up watching Lizzy McGuire, loved everything about it and everything that the show represented. I agree it brings an actual message to the kids and a realistic way to solve the situation. I feel the shows are becoming inappropriate, and having more of a sexual meaning behind some of them. I feel that if the younger generations continue to watch shows that are now acceptable to societies standards that it will affect their decision makings as they do grow older. Using these shows as an influence.
