The Sims recently released a new update that allows users to customize a character's gender however they want to. I think it is a great update because users can now create a Sim that has whatever tone of voice, physique, and walk they want regardless of gender. Users are now allowed to choose whatever accessories for their characters they want without any restrictions. Same-sex relationships were always an option when the original game was released. I think it is a great step forward for representation of the LGBT+ community. It is so upsetting to see the negative feedback that people are having toward the update. They literally do not have to use the features in the update. Instead they are stating that they wanted an update that allowed toddlers to be created in the game. I'm shocked that people are missing the point here and truly believe that having toddlers is more important than people being able to really create characters that look like themselves. Despite this, it is heartwarming to see how positively this affects trans people. I applaud the game developers who give consumers a game that a diverse group of people can enjoy. www.thesims.com/news/new-cas-update
