Today's topic is very random, however, I always wondered why the process in getting your passport is so long. A few weeks ago, my grandpa passed away, and in the Japanese culture you are supposed to burry them as soon as possible. With that being said, we found out that he had passed away on a Friday, and then his funeral was on Sunday. My family booked their flight right away. Me on the other hand, had to wait a few days before actually going out there. I had my passport to be expedited, but with that, I would still not be able to get back in time for the service. It was silly of me to not have a passport, but I just never renewed it.
