There has been such a huge discussion about Kanye West's interview on the Ellen Show. Comments like "omg Kanye is going crazy" "he is such a narcissist" etc. Kanye is well known for always speaking his mind no matter what the outcome might be or the consequences are. Honestly I don't think it was such a big shocker at all. And sure I don't think his behavior is always acceptable, far from it. But some things he talked about, like helping other through his art, I think he actually knows that he is talking about. He encourages people to turn to art in order to help themselves through hard times and express their emotions and visions. So, I don't think we should judge him right away to be a total nut head, but actually listen to the good things he says too.

The bottom line is that Kanye is an compelling, talented artist who encourages people to love themselves and express themselves. He is promoting positive messages and he is showing people what it like for him to be himself. The reality of being yourself is that some people will love your expression and some people will downright loathe your expression of personality. I think it is fair for people to assume Kanye is a bit "nuts" from watching this video because of the fact that he went on a one-sided rant about deeply personal things on the fun, light daytime talk show, Ellen. It is typically not what you see on these shows, though some people have been known to go a little crazy on Elle, cue Tom Cruise's famous appearance about 10 years ago. Kanye loves Kanye though, that is for sure

Some people love and some people hate him, the ay society is set up which sucks. He honestly isn't that bad of a person. He's sending out a positive message about us young people should let our voice be heard and put it all in the art. He may do a lot of talking and it may come kind of harsh but only if people just knew that he means no harm and only good vibes. I applaud him on all his past, current and future work, it's KANYE GEEZZE!!

I really agree with you! I mean there are stuff that he has said that most people think it's not okay, but he sure has a point every now and then.
As adrewgiacco said in his comment, I believe that as well. "The bottom line is that Kanye is an compelling, talented artist who encourages people to love themselves and express themselves....." That's why I think when people asks him if he regrets anything he always response "no" is because (what i think) has to do with showing himself as a human, that surly does mistakes, but he is not going to let it bother him for the rest of his life, because we can always go foreward and try to be better.

I've seen this interview and yes Kanye is known for being a narcissistic and everything else, but he's a talented, smart individual. He made a lot of sense during this interview, and I really enjoyed some of the points and ideas he made. But I also feel like the media does their job better by portraying people in certain ways. Another video surfaced of this same interview but you can tell someone edited it completely making Kanye look like some crazy man, who's just rambling at the mouth. Its just typical of the media, and their way of spreading propaganda.

Kanye West is a genius, the issue is that he is all too aware. Him being so outspoken is one reason why I and such a huge fan and although this is not an isolated incident I do not really see what is wrong with it. For me the only issue is that this outspokenness has to be a two way street, if he is going to abuse someone just because he can but then complain and rant more when someone retaliates, thats a problem. I never take what he is saying seriously, besides in his music, because he is just saying what he thinks and feels. While his thoughts may be slightly crazy at times I do not think he should be condemned as harshly as he is.
