Yesterday and today I finally was able to catch up with a filipino soap style series which I been wanting to catch to. I believe that the series began a few weeks back, and I was able to record all past 10 episodes. I wasn't really able to watch and the episodes accumulated in a sense that the first two weeks I was busy with school work and family matters. Luckily though yesterday and today I was able to have some free time and binge watch those episodes.

The series has a family oriented format in which I must say I love tv shows with such format of storylines. Previous shows that I watched from beginning to end were "Brothers and Sisters," as well as recently finished "Parenthood." Both shows had epic finales and I totally missed them and still rewatch episodes when they do reruns.

The Greatest Love follows a somewhat separated family, whose history has tons of dark secrets which mostly revolves around their mother. As her children all moved out as they have careers and their own families, only the youngest daughter decided to stay along with the mother as to take care of her as the mother is said to have a high blood pressure problem. Although the children still love their mother, there is a sense of gaps made by the secrets of the family, some of which includes their father's death, the discovery of their youngest sibling to be a child from another father, and that their brother has some shady dealings with outsiders. As the family tries to mend the broken relationship they all have, the biggest secret comes out that threatens to permanently tear the family apart, and that is the fact that their mother has more than just a simple high blood problem, but the early signs we see as the audience are through the effects of a diagnosis of early Alzheimer's.

As the family one by one discovers the truth, they all come together for the sake of time with their mother to help her through while watching her slowly deteriorate in front of them and as each memory of their family be wiped away from their mother's memory.

Definetely excited to see the next episodes as just seeing the family pull together and the fact that their mother protects her children no matter the circumstances, is just a beautiful story to watch and I know that ending is surely coming that will surely be heartfelt and a for sure there will be lots of water works.
