This week I did a whole marathon of my favorite show in the world, and that would be pokemon. Netflix has the early season and for me I was overjoyed to have spare time and a chance to rewatch the early season. I remember this series was the first ever video game as well I was introduce to, and to look back at that early time seems so nostalgic as that I still couldn't believe was almost 15 years back.

I remember this show being my motivation to do well as well in school, because my mom would make a deal with me as my previous elementary school was near a card shop, so the deal was everytime I would get high marks on the day of report cards, my mom would take me to the card shop and I remember myself having an explosion of happiness on seeing the several choices of pokemon trading card packs, also the mint exclusives they had for sale would just mesmerize me. From that point I would expand my collection from one album to a third one.

Also I would remember every Fridays in the Philippines they would air a new episode of Pokemon, the first episode I ever saw was the one involving Tentacool and Tentacruels attacking the town, to me that one stuck to me. I also would remember rushing home excitedly since it was the end of a week and I would get to see a new episode and just relax. I would remember the time was 7:30 P.M and my whole self would be glued to the seat and I would have a bag of chips ready in my hand and I would just get completely lost for the whole 30 minutes.

For me rewatching Pokemon always is a blast and I could repeat any of the season many times and still find a relation and overjoyed feeling from each season and each episode as this series would always hold a close spot in my heart and childhood.

Yeah there will always be a place in my heart for Pokemon. It was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid. I know a lot of people feel the same way since the mobile game Pokemon Go was so popular. I have to admit though I haven't kept up with the new series past the first 150 pokemons.

My 8 and 5 year old love watching the Pokemon show and playing Pokemon Go. I also tell my sons that if they don't have a good week at school they cant watch the shows or go Pokemon hunting. My older son and husband are out on the pier right now Pokemon hunting. My little one fell asleep and I allowed the older one to go because they don't have to go to school tomorrow. It is crazy how Pokémon has come back, after the Pokémon Go app was released everyone has been obsessed and a lot of adults are into it because it was a game and a show of their childhood. I used to get really annoyed by my husband always playing on this app but now Im like its ok it gets him up and out of the house and it motivates the boys to do well in school.
