I love SNL, I think that through satire they help teach people about different, current events as well as make fun of all of the ridiculous things out in the media. Margot Robbie as Ivanka Trump was a real winner, in my opinion, this week. I thought that it was hilarious that SNL played off of her continuous reliance on her siblings, her obsession with hair flips, and her extremely calm and slow speech. It's interesting because in the clip, the game show host talks about how the politicians talk a lot when asked a question and then completely circumvent actually answering it. They also played off on how the candidates (Trump) interrupts everyone all the time but then says nothing of substance when he actually speaks. I think that SNL does a great job of playing off of what the candidates are actually doing just enlarging and making it more funny. Many argue that SNL isn't funny anymore, but I believe that through making fun of these serious events, such as presidential debates and elections, they begin dialogue between people and bring up important discussion. For example, Margot Robbie as Ivanka, says in the skit "I'm Ivanka, the beauty". This is relevant because her brother have been trying to use logic to support their father where Ivanka is saying less things of substance but is shown by the media as just a pretty face or an attractive figure head of Trump''s campaign.
